Upon your arrival at Kushok Bakula Airport, Leh (situated at a height of 3,500 meters), enjoy a warm welcome by our tour representatives and then a transfer to hotel. Day 02 : Leh Local Sightseeing
SHANTI STUPA-HEMIS MONASTERY-STOK PALACE
Today after breakfast, visit Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, Hemis Monastery, Spituk Monastery and Stok Palace Museum. Stok palace which houses a fine private museum. There is a superb collection of thangkhas, said to be the best in the world. Later, hit the road to Hemis Gompa, which crosses the Indus River at the Karu Village. Built in the 17th century, between 1602 A.D. TO 1642 A.D., Hemis is one of the most famous monasteries in Ladakh. It is also known for the annual festival called Hemis Tsechu. Day 03 : Leh- Pangong via Shey-Thiksey (225 kms/ 5 hrs approx)
Today after breakfast drive to Pangong lake visiting , Shey Palace complex are structures located on a hillock in Shey, 15 kilometers to the south of Leh in Ladakh. Shey was the summer capital of Ladakh in the past & later visit Thiksey monastery, the twelve storied monastery of Thiksey is situated in the most prominent of positions, lies on an island Mountain. Arrive at Pangong in camp & leisure at Pangong Lake. Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet, is bisected by the international border between India and China. Overnight stay at the camp in Pangong.
Day 04 : Pangong-Leh (258 kms/ 06 hrs approx )
After breakfast drive back to Leh via visiting Sindhu Ghat. Upon arrival check into hotel and enjoy a great view of the Indus Valley and the Zanskar range and go colder to nature. Overnight stay at hotel in Leh.
Day 05 : Leh- Nubra via Khardung La Top (116kms/ 03 hrs approx)
Today after breakfast drive to Nubra Valley. The road journey from Leh to Nubra Valley passes over Khardung La (The Highest Motorable road in the world) AT 5,602 M / 18,390 FT, around 39 km from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldumra or the valley of flowers. It is situated in the north of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. The average altitude of the valley is 10,000 Ft. above sea level. Upon arrival in Nubra check into Camp. In the evening, walk around the tiny villages to see how the locals live in this part of the world. Overnight stay at the Camp in Nubra.
Day 06 : Nubra- Leh via Diskit Excursion (116kms/ 03 hrs approx )
Today after breakfast drive to Diskit. Diskit is famous for 515 years old Buddhist Monastery, lying magnificently situated on a hilltop, facing the entire Valley. Later drive back to Leh in the late afternoon via Khardungla Top. On arrival at Leh check in Hotel. In the afternoon you can rest and relax. In the evening you can stroll around the market place for some last minute souvenir shopping. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.
Day 07 : Leh – Alchi – Leh (120 kms)
ALCHI-MAGNETICH HILL-HALL OF FAME
After breakfast in the morning, we will drive to visit 11th century Alchi Tsokar, the oldest surviving monastic heritage of Ladakh – a UNESCO listed heritage site. While returning back to Leh from here, we will visit Sangam (confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers), Magnetic Point, Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, Kali Mata (Temple of Guardians in Spituk monastery) and the Hall of Fame. Overnight stay in the hotel in Leh.
Day 08 : Leh-Delhi (Departure)
After breakfast check out from hotel and proceed towards KBR airport to catch your flight back home according to your convenience. Your tour ends with sweet memories.
